Only intermission...

Regarding Our 2021 Season

It is with great pleasure that we will reopening the Cumberland Theatre on March 12th of 2021. Our season consists of the usual eight (8) main stage shows, our Stars of Tomorrow production and, we hope, other special events throughout the year.

That being said, we are taking every precaution to ensure the safety of our actors, staff and patrons. The following steps are currently being taken:

  • The building is undergoing renovations to patron and staff areas to make the spaces easier to sanitize between performances.

  • A extensive and thorough cleaning and sanitizing is scheduled before reopening.

  • The first two rows of seats have been removed to provide distance between the actors and audience.

The following policies have been put into place and will be enforced when rehearsals resume on March 1st and performances resume on March 12th.

  • Actors and staff for each production are required to submit proof of a current COVID test with a negative result.

  • Temperature checks are required for actors and staff before each rehearsal and performance.

  • Temperature checks are required for all patrons upon entering the building.

  • Masks are required for all staff and patrons. Patrons must leave the mask on throughout the performance.

  • The theatre reserves the right to alter any online reservations to comply with social distancing standards.

  • The theatre, restrooms and lobby will be sanitized after each performance.

Although our box office and concession area will be open and staffed, we encourage you to purchase your ticket online. This will avoid lines in the lobby and make contact minimal.

We hope you will come out and enjoy live theatre with us this year! And rest assured that your safety and comfort are our top priority.

Thank you for your patronage and support,

BettyJo Gehauf, Board President

Kimberli Rowley, Artistic Director
